We support Ocular Melanoma UK, the charity supporting people affected by ocular melanoma. OcuMel UK aims to help patients with eye cancer and their families by providing accurate, up-to-date information and emotional support via their website, helpline and online forums.
Our founder, Calogero Caruso, suffered from ocular melanoma so we naturally feel very close to this cause. By giving regular donations to Ocular Melanoma UK, we support them in their efforts to give clear and accurate information to everyone involved with eye cancer. Ocular Melanoma UK also raise awareness of eye cancer amongst the public and work with medical professionals to increase their knowledge.
OcuMel UK’s overall aim is to help patients and their families make the life choices that are right for them and to be there for them, wherever they are in their eye cancer journey. OcuMel UK’s friendly staff and volunteers understand how isolating it can be when a patient or a loved one is diagnosed with a rare cancer.
