Marble Worktops – Frequently Asked Questions

Is marble suitable for a kitchen worktop?

Yes, marble can be used in kitchens but does require regular sealing and a little extra care compared to granite or quartz.

Can I place hot pans directly on marble?

We recommend using heat pads or trivets. While marble is heat resistant, direct contact with hot cookware can damage the surface.

Do marble worktops need sealing?

Yes, marble is porous and benefits from regular sealing to protect against stains and etching.

What’s the difference between marble and granite for worktops?

Marble is softer and offers elegant, natural veining, while granite is harder and more resistant to wear and heat. We’ll help you choose based on your space and usage.
