Porcelain Kitchen Worktops – FAQs
Do porcelain worktops need to be sealed?
No, porcelain is manufactured with a non-porous and stain-resistant surface.
Can you put hot pans on porcelain?
We recommend always using a trivet. Although porcelain is heat resistant, sudden or intense heat can cause surface stress or discolouration.
Do porcelain worktops stain?
Porcelain is resistant to most staining. However, we still recommend that all acidic or coloured liquids (like wine or lemon juice) should be wiped away promptly.
Can porcelain worktops be repaired?
Yes, small chips or marks can often be repaired, although some repairs may remain visible depending on the porcelain patterning.
