Our Process
Our Process
Our services cover the whole process of stone fabrication from initial design liaison and support, precision templating, stone processing and machining, through to installation. At each stage of our process, we are in regular contact with you to make sure you have a complete understanding of the specification, timing and costs.
Step 1: INITIAL DISCUSSIONS
Initial discussions about your project can take place over the phone, email or face to face. You are welcome to visit our premises to see our workshop, meet the team and talk through materials in the Stone Studio.
Our network of stone suppliers is extensive, and if you have not yet selected a material or are unsure which material to use, we are happy to advise and help you find the right one for your project.

Step 3: MANUFACTURE
Our state-of-the-art machinery will then cut the stone to the template, create the edge profiles and any fluting or surface patterns and shapes you want.
We are one of the only stone masonry companies in the UK that has six CNC machines: three CNC machines and three CNC 5-asix bridge saws. No job is too complicated.
Our expert masons will complete any final hand-finishing and polishing required, whilst our installation team will confirm a delivery and installation date with you.

Step 2: DIGITAL SURVEY
Once we have confirmed which material you want to use, our team will visit your project to create a digital template of the surfaces we will be making for you. At this point we will look at where any holes or recesses will be required for items such as switches, sockets, sinks, taps, pipes, cables, lights and appliances. We use an incredibly precise digital templating system to capture every measurement, angle, and the exact shape of all the walls and adjoining surfaces.
The template is converted to a digital CAD drawing detailing all the surfaces and the location of all the recesses and holes for you to approve. If you have chosen a material with a vein or pattern that is to be perfectly matched, it is at this point that we will overlay a high resolution image of the material on the digital template for final approval.

Step 4: INSTALLATION
Your stone surfaces are then delivered in one of our customised vans and installed carefully by our team.
We always provide the correct skilled manpower to perform the installation. We have installers who carry CSCS cards and are SSSTS qualified. Classico is also CHAS accredited.
Joins, edges and any mitres that can only be completed on site take place and our team leader will quality control our surfaces and installation.
We invite you to review this with us and sign off the project before our team return to our workshops.
